Our fundamental design strategy has always been to incorporate the highest level of security in developing e-Office. e-Office incorporates application level security, operating system security, and file system security. Unauthorized access to documents is prevented by all these security levels.
e-Office fully integrates with the Windows 2000 Server operating system. As users log into e-Office, user authentication is performed at the application level as well as the operating system level. When logged in to e-Office, a user’s rights to documents are only those granted by administrator, and are enforced not only by e-Office’s application security, but also by Windows File System security. This multi-layer design structure prevents unauthorized “back door” access to documents.
